Real-Time Broadcast Environment Sample

A real-time broadcast set built in Unreal Engine, exploring a clean, modern studio aesthetic. The space is organized around a circular layout, with multiple screens framing a central desk to create depth and focus.

The visual direction combines deep navy tones, neutral blacks, and subtle red accents, supported by reflective materials and controlled lighting. Video playback is integrated directly into the screens and triggered at runtime using Unreal Engine Blueprints, simulating a live broadcast environment.

My Role

  • Defined the overall visual language of the set, including color palette, mood, and composition. Established a clean broadcast aesthetic inspired by real-world studios, balancing contrast, lighting, and spatial hierarchy.

  • Designed the full layout of the space, focusing on a circular composition that frames the central desk and screens. Built a cohesive environment that guides the viewer’s attention and creates depth from multiple angles.

  • Developed a controlled lighting setup using soft overhead lights and LED accents to simulate a studio environment. Applied a mix of reflective and matte materials to enhance realism, depth, and screen visibility without overexposing the scene.

  • Integrated real-time functionality using Blueprints, including triggering video playback across screens at runtime. Ensured the environment behaves dynamically, simulating a live broadcast setup within the engine.
